While locks are great, the other physical security of your business matters as well. An astragal or security bars can significantly improve the security of your business and help deter break ins.

Astragals

An astragal is a steel plate that covers the length of your door and door frame. Helping to prevent pry bar and latch slip attacks. A flat or three bend bar is bolted to the door, and with the three bend an additional piece of angle iron is attached to the frame. This limits the leverage a pry bar has, and disallows access to the latch for slipping.

Security Bars

Security bars work great when aesthetics are not a huge concern. By placing security bars across your windows this can help prevent smash and grabs. While this clearly won’t improve much without a double cylinder lock, they can also be placed over your store front door. An excellent additional to your physical security.
