Our History
The Crono Lock story has deep roots in the security industry. Dating as far back as World War Two, and spanning over three generations. For over eighty years, wisdom has been gained and shared.
Our story begins in Belfast, Ireland, where Jack Conn, the grandfather of Crono Lock, started off as a watchmaker. During the war, Jack would find himself taking what he learned working on time pieces, and applying it to the field of aviation instrumentation. Surviving the war, Jack continued his career in aviation after moving to Canada. With his Irish charm he set out west. Finding new opportunity in the field of Security Systems. His son would follow in his footsteps, and in turn would pass those skills down to his son, me. Although I followed both my father and grandfather into security systems at first, I wished to pursue a more analog career. While I thoroughly enjoy electrical work, locks possess a certain mystique.
Unfortunately, several years ago my grandfather passed away. When we began Crono Lock in 2021 we thought it would be best to pay homage to my grandfather, we take our name from where it all began. Crono is a reference to the Ancient Greek god of time Chronos. A tribute to the watchmaker that started it all.

Meet the Founders
Deadhammer - Lead Locksmith
Rory began his career in the security sector in 2013 after completing the Security Systems Technician program at BCIT in Burnaby. Having then completed his Certificate of Qualifications as a Security Technician, he set his sights on a new frontier. One with far less computers.
Having come from a security background, he picked up locksmithing quickly. With an already extensive knowledge of power tools and construction, he has excelled as a locksmith. While still pushing to learn new tech with automotive locksmithing. Deadhammer has pushed his abilities and received the notoriety of Black Belt in the LPU for his accomplishments in lockpicking, you can find him in the discord there under the name “Hammer”.
Talia Conn - Head of Operations
Talia graduated from SFU in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts, having completed a double major in English and French. During her time at SFU she has also worked extensively as a receptionist for a local veterinarian hospital.
While she does answer our phones from time to time, Talia mostly runs the background operations on her weekends. Whether it be writing contracts, proof reading content for our media, or scheduling. Talia ensures Crono Lock continues to run smooth and efficiently while also pursuing her own career.
