🔹 Requirements

  • Driver’s door must be open and unlocked

  • Key inserted and removed from ignition multiple times (timing critical)

🔹 Step-by-Step Guide

✅ Toyota Remote Programming Instructions (2000–2006 Models):

  1. Start with driver’s door open and unlocked. All other doors closed.

  2. Insert key into ignition and remove it twice (do not turn).

  3. Close and open the driver’s door twice.

  4. Insert and remove key again twice.

  5. Close and open the driver’s door once more.

  6. Insert the key into ignition and leave it in.

  7. Close the driver’s door, then turn key to ON, then back to OFF.

  8. Remove key from ignition.

  9. If successful, the door locks will cycle, indicating the vehicle is in programming mode.

  10. Within 40 seconds, press LOCK and UNLOCK on the remote simultaneously for 1–2 seconds.

  11. Then press LOCK again for 1 second.

  12. If the locks cycle, programming was successful. Repeat for additional remotes.

  13. Open the driver’s door to exit programming mode.
